Favourite Entertainers

Not the drummer but the footballer (for some reason I couldn't get sound here, but hey it's the moves that count). Go baby, go!........... No..... not really!

Class act by young friend second from right. A natural.
A great afternoon in the Abbey Gardens. Loved the atmosphere created by these guys.

My family member on left was less enthusiastic about it

Percussion

This young man playing a selection of household items (pots, pans etc) commanded a large audience but the best bit for me was when the young boy in the blue shorts did a little dance before I started videoing. Think he must have been a bit camera shy because he didn't have another dance sadly.

Saturday Night.....

Bury Fringe asked who was out on Saturday night.  Meee..........and my mate. And loads more.

Neither of the gentlemen on the left did I meet before tonight. Lower left will be getting married next week and was out on his stag night. Upper left is Eddie, who will be baking tonight in Greggs as I write.  We chatted with Eddie about his job, the world and the lights left on for weeks in the old Barclay's building - no carbon footprint there then. Doubt someone just vacated the building and left them on by mistake. Talking of lights, my friend B wants to know how the front of the Abbey is so well illuminated at night. Surely it's not just the street lights? Or magic?

Yes, the town was busy. Super meal in Orissa. Great drinks in One Bull.  Long queue outside the popular LP Bar, but sadly didn't feel in a position to join it.  That ship has sailed.

Two of the young men in picture apparently of to Afghanistan soon. Our best wishes go with them.

A Rubbish Song

OK - clever remarks needed for this Cambridge busker. Your eyes are not deceiving you.
'Bring it on home to me' sings the voice from the sing-bin.  Bin it on home to me? Bin singing all day?
My old man's a dustbin?

(did have a video but ruined it)

Fasten your seatbelts - (Eurofighter)

So yes, finally made it. See you all in a week's time. Well, a few minutes time actually because that's how long the flight simulation of this fighter plane takes. It's worth the £3 fee - if only to remind you how lucky you are not to be making the real trip. Quite authentic was the 'runway' sensation. It always concerns me how bumpy the take off on a flight feels - as though the undercarriage is not quite as secure as it should be, or put another way, like you're travelling in an old plane. I thought the 360 degree roll on this simulation  didn't quite work, but as we weren't strapped in it's probably just as well it wasn't authentic.  However, at points I did have to 'hang-on' a bit.

Do give it a go - it's in front of the Apex, Bury St Edmunds for about another week. Help the charity.

All the better for seeing him .........perform 'live'

I have developed something of a passion for the violinist David Garrett. This is not him. But this guy does deserve a medal for playing a violin in the street on one of the coldest days of the year. The cold might account for the somewhat 'strangled cat' sound of the instrument on video, but I think it's more likely to be the quality of my sound recording combined with the poor Barclay's Bank acoustics that are to blame.  In the street he sounded great.
